How to delete orders in BigCommerce?
First of all, you should know that it is impossible to delete orders in BigCommerce. There are no exceptions for the test orders or mistaken orders, you simply cannot delete them. On the bright side, there is a similar solution that allows you to mark an order as cancelled. This is one of the BigCommerce order statuses, that helps you organize your orders. In order to do that you need to go to the “Orders” section and click on the “View” option. Then, you will see a drop-down Order Status menu. Finally, you need to simply mark it as “Cancelled”.
Another solution to delete orders in BigCommece, or at least mark them as deleted is to rename an Order Status Label. In other words, you can customize your BigCommerce labels, so you could easily understand which ones don’t exist. To do this, go to your “Orders” section and click on the “Order statuses” button. The click on the “Edit” and the order status fields become editable. Keep in mind that your Order Status labels can be as long as 200 characters. Once you change it, you can click on the “Save” button. Your changes will be visible throughout the control panel.
