The best practice is that you should include packing slips in every package you send. A packing slip is a summary of enclosed products inside the package. It is otherwise known as a delivery note.

Normally it is either put in a pocket or pouch attached to the package or inside together with the actual contents. It is important to include packing slips in order for the customer to be able to cross reference the contents and in case of insufficiency, it is easier to get back to the seller.

The packing slip should include the date of purchase, item names and quantities of each product. In some instances you can provide additional information, but it entirely depends on the business.

How to print Shopify packing slip

  4. Find the order for which you need the Packing Slip/Delivery Note.

  6. A new window will open with the Delivery note.
  7. Click Print on the top-right corner.

 

If you need a delivery note for an unshipped order, you can print it once you procede to ship the order. During the last step where you create the label, there is an option to also print a Delivery Note.
